Nah I meant that if you go for it and get stuffed, 4 minutes isn't hard to run off the clock. Even with the 3 time outs, you'd have to stop them (burning at least 2 timeouts since you have the 2 minute warning), get the ball back (most likely with poor field position), drive down the field (with 1 or 0 time outs), and go for a tying field goal (perhaps longer than the one you just didn't kick).

My opinion:

Regular season, go for it.

Post season at home, kick the FG

Post season on the road, go for it
