Thanks, Chuck. If a runner gains 1/2 yard on 1st and 10, the records show a 1 yard run and it's now 2nd and 9? (The gain is rounded up and the 'to go' is rounded down?) What if he gains 9-1/2 yards on 1st down?

I actually am curious about how they track this.
