Clock Experiment

The linear "two minutes per matchpoint" has always been suspect in my mind. In November when I was frantically writing up my clock data (see Backgammon Galore site where it's posted if you haven't read it already) I also had plans for a second paper on match time durations as a function of match length. Unfortunately this takes a lot of data and I just didn't have that. So for now we're all left wondering. Meanwhile we seem to have nothing better to implement than the current linear allotment.
How about as a rough measure of length, we use the total number of moves? I think that the time to play a match should roughly correspond to that. There are plenty of databases we could use.
