All of Magriel's safe/bold criteria point towards bold play here, so it makes sense to do so here since hitting forces the oppt to abandon the golden anchor and gives you lots of ways to hit back and/or make a 2nd anchor on the 22-point. Fooled me at the time, but I can see the logic behind the play now.
