Now the slot looks right, using one of the checkers that BELONGS on the 5-point.

I can't say I'm getting the hang of NG, yet, but a good general BG principle is: "when you have limited resources, make the most of them." Two fewer checkers on the homeside (standard NG) means for much of the game this principle applies. Or at least that's what's beginning to come into my focus.
