...I don't think it is so simple.

An accurate, reasonable (and safe) deduction. But I'm talking differences of 0.1, not 0.01.

We all know that there hasn't been a bot created whose evaluations were nearly as reliable as its rollouts. (This is what I call "Dahl's conjecture" since he pointed this out over 10 years ago, and it's still true.) My point is that taking the equity from the non-cube-turned position goes in the face of Dahl's conjecture.
