I don't get why the discount for staying in the hotel is coming out of the prize pool. Most TDs negotiate with the hotels for credits based on the number of room nights. One of the best things you can do to support a tourney is to stay in the host hotel.

So if the tournament as an "entry fee" and a "registration fee" then I would expect the discount to come out of the registration fee - leaving the prize pool alone. Am I reading the brochure incorrectly?
