I am not aware of any tournament directors who run tournaments so that they can reap great profits

I am.

As far as the calcutta rake, most tournaments that I have seen donate the calcutta rake to a charity

I hate this, you can quote me on that. You can also misinterpret what I just said to whatever pisses you off the most.
