I just s-canned a one hour long rambling post on this play. (Even I didn't like reading it so I can't imagine you would have.) Bots have taught us that 1-1 roll gives the most options and here quite a few of those are worth considering. LOTS of candidates, but here are the goals I came up with:

1) keep at least a five blocking points after our NEXT roll. (This means, being careful of potential root rolls 4-4 and 3-3.)

2) take advantage of Stick's awkward situation. (DON'T link 20/18.)

3) be wary of giving Stick a clear path to victory which involves using the cube before he escapes his last checker.

Unfortunately I don't think any play does all three. However, the very pure 9/6, 4/3 does all but the last. I can handle his crowing if he pulls off the parlay (but easier to say that now).

Conclusion: 9/6, 4/3.
