Bound to intermediatocracy

I see 3 possible plays that make sense. 1. Make the opponents bar point, 2. run to hit on the 14 point 3. make my 2 point and POH.
After the roll we are ahead by 6 pips, + any gain from making a hitting play. My opponent has made the best 2 inner board points and has spares on the 8 pt and a builder on the 11 pt that can be useful. Opponent has also split his back men, as have we. Our inner board points are 6, 3 and 2 if I make the 3rd play.
In option 1, we stop any successful prime while keeping spares on the midpoint, 8 and 6 points. I personally don't like making the 2pt on an opening 6-4, and I don't see a large advantage in making it here. I don't see this game turning into a blitz. Making the opponents bar also keeps pressure on his 11 point, and his prospects of covering it are lessened by the fact that their midpoint is stripped.
Option 2 gives a 20 pip lead, certainly not insurmountable at this stage of the game. It also leave blots open to hits from 2s, 3s and 5s, although many of those would be loose hits.
Option 3 gives us a 3 pt board, but they aren't the ideal points we would like to make. It also strips the 8 pt, which also loses its value as it's not part of the same prime as the 2 pt.
For the above reasons, I favor making my opponents bar point.
