It looks GIN! Since white gets to call all the rolls (while pursing his case for NOT gin, director adjudicating of course), but NOT how BLUE is to play his rolls, only his own WHITE-plays, he cannot not force BLUE to take two off with his 6-2. Therefore I believe that this is GIN for BLUE.

I suspect that many contrived positions might be made very "gin-like" and require careful validations before adjudication could be correctly made. This one is a good case that just might arise and challenge any TD to get to the truth.

In addition, even though the pre-new-rules (OCT. 2007 Digital Clock) discussions included my concern for GIN positions, I have no documentation that says the ABT directors would all act the same (e.g. to consider or not the possibility of a GIN position). But until persuaded differently, I will consider GIN as a factor whenever I get called to adjudicate.
