When the phone rings, the iPhone clock timer pauses. Of course the Bar Point Club requires that when using your iPhone clock, you put it on "Airplane" mode where all apps work, but you can't receive phone calls.

As far as taking a break during the middle of the match, simply have both players check the remaining time and put it in your pocket.

For those who will never play with one, all I can say is try it once and you will change your mind. It can be set faster than any other clock I've ever seen, it is easy to read, and it works flawlessly. When my phone contract ends in May, I'm going to upgrade to an iPhone. They start at $199 with the contract. That's expensive to get a portable chess clock, however, I'll also have GPS, movies, TV, music, and a lot more.

I should have the DGT 960 later today. If it is also easy to set (I set the iPhone in 10 seconds without even reading the instructions), I predict it will become the standard because it is only one inch thick folded and can be slipped into a soft bag and carried in your board.
