For starters, think $-play. There you multiply the win difference by 2 before comparing with gammons. So it's 14% extra vs. 19% -- or about an 0.05 cubeless error.

Then, are gammons wins worth more at this score than for $-play?

And, are we able to use the cube more often here than for $-play?

The answer to the these two later questions are "yes!". That's only a qualitative argument. A more quantitative look should verify the GNU-bg result.
