In Response To: Good progress with clocks in Pittsburgh (Chuck Bower)

I summed up my overall very positive experiences with regard to clocks in Pittsburgh in my letter to Howard Markowitz which I posted under the Vegas thread:

All weekend I played all but one of my matches using the clock. Generally, people were very receptive. One match was clocked but under the condition of a looser time control 2.5/12. I am coming around to the opinion myself that 2/12 might be a bit tight as I saw a few matches get tight on time in which I did not feel that the players were playing unreasonably slow.

In general it was great to see the large number of matches being played on clocks throughout the weekend and the general support from the players and staff.

Hopefully this small snowball will continue on its path down the hill and soon become unstoppable.
