I have been told there is no such thing as a stupid question, but why do I feel like I am about to ask one? :))

To the world class players here; do you actually use these calculations over the board? Or is it more memorization of benchmark positions/match scores?

If you do, how do you simplify it or do it fast?

Not having played with a clock, how does the clock come into the equation?
