I find this score a big delicate because while the 2-away player would like to finish the match with an undoubled G, s/he also must respect opp's willingness to cube gammonish positions.

I don't see 25/24 being right -- too much work to get those last two checkers around. So 25/20 and then find an ace. If on opp's side of the board, 22/21 looks right (keeping communication, particularly with opp on the bar). But 8/7 is tempting as it opens up more loose hits when opp doesn't anchor. 4's are duped (entering an hitting) but this provides some good threes for Blue plus the bonus 1-6 hitting roll.

My tendency has been to push hard with this kind of position (and note I hate points six apart) by playing 8/7. That hasn't been getting bot approval. I'll settle for the quiet 22/21.

Summary: 25/20, 22/21.
