Just last year, nearing the money round an experienced opp instantly played 3/0 here and then slid 4/3...of course his next roll was 33.
These are extreme examples of illustrating the fact that the feedback mechanism in backgammon is poor. In chess, when you blunder, you are instantly punished. In backgammon, when you err in this position, you are punished five times in 216.
