I agree that being in shape helps. Invariably I think more clearly when I have been walking lately as opposed to sitting around.

I believe what is happening to Adam is a form of buck/cabin fever. Wanting to get out or anxiety to kill the deer. Perhaps imagining yourself playing in the finals, when you are still playing in the semi-finals.

Tightening the drag on a big fish because you want to land him and take that picture for the Western Outdoor News, leads to broken line and a lost fish. You got your foot on a roach, twist your foot... Don't assume that crunch you heard did the job, make sure. Then go look at what the payout is for cashing.
