Oh wait, that doesn't explain taking 5 minutes to figure out not to put any checkers 4-away. Never mind.

That is pretty unbelievable play, if you posted it tomorrow I simply would assume you were making an April Fool's Day joke. I thought every beginning player knew how to play an early 61 65 31 42, and probably 53. It was the more advanced players that sometimes got 53 wrong back then!

Obviously rolls like 31 or 42 aren't as easy to play when trying to decide between an advanced anchor or something like that, but in something simple like your first diagram that is just plain sad.
