Plays are TCTC but even being TCTC should teach us that we may want to pay attn. to where the action is at rather than worry about extricating our back checkers at this point. Stones in the zone baby.

I only rolled this out because one of my fish friends tried to make the stacking play. (same ubercrappie who wanted to play V after 31P-11N-21, costing me a lot of CPU time) The builder on the 3pt is still a builder for the 2pt. Not an ideal position but can be useful if your opponent enters on the 2pt and is prettier than the leaning tower of Pisa + blotted midpoint that's left with the other play.

By far the most interesting in my opinion. OtB I would have played 24/23 13/11 without much thought. After seeing this short rollout and reconsidering I'd now play 13/10 even though the rollout is statistically lacking and the plays are virtually tied. It leaves 1s 3s and 5s to attack if your opponent comes in on the 5pt and 2s 4s and 6s if they enter on the 4pt. The variation where you split your back men you have one less builder/attacker for the 4pt and no good 5s.

Keep your eyes on the action with two in the air, the split is something to be played when there's simply no other gain on the offensive side of the board.

I thought this was very clear but I've seen ppl in the same type of situation make the 2pt. It's better to have the attackers poised to pounce when your opponent comes in on the high points than make a lower point and have zero men left in the zone allowing your opponent a couple of free turns to try to come in and anchor up. They are a favorite to enter after all.

An interesting variation would be a 64 to play with a centered cube.
