2-ply and 3-ply playing very differently

In Response To: GNU 2-ply RO (Matt Cohn-Geier)

Although the two levels agree as far as the order of plays, they disagree a lot in total wins. My 3-ply RO has 63%, 61%, and 58% total wins for Blue, and 44%, 41%, 38% for gammons.

This is consistent with my previous observations that 3-ply plays the backgame side better than 2-ply (or maybe it's just that 3-ply plays the backgame DEFENSIVE side worse).
