Swiss format

I really don't think there's anything too wrong with the existing format. I thought the solution for last year's problem should have simply been to extend the Swiss for another round. I agree that a bye or weird little playoff into the money round is not good--but I don't really have a problem with some byes on the consolation side at the beginning of the elimination portion of the event.

If I understand correctly, you just want to run it more or less like a chess tournament, except that it doesn't end until one lone player is left with fewer losses than three. Is that correct? Leaving aside questions of dishonesty, it seems to me that your format might also run into trouble in the later rounds if odd numbers of players were left standing. Who gets byes in those situations?
