The board was recovered without an admission of guilt. So, that made things a little tougher than would have otherwise been the case. Part of the deal was allowing him to save face. If it had been handled otherwise, the board might not have been recovered. The person who got it done put Alan first which is hard to criticize.

The local director wasn't involved and therefore had no firsthand knowledge of what had happened. I would have preferred banning the thief anyway. But, I don't have to deal with the constant headaches of running a club, so I have been light in my criticism of allowing him to play. The thief is a donater in the chous which helps. And, if I catch him in the act, there will be consequences.
