I would like to think a Director would never need to be requested to bar a player from watching a match. However, I also think if someone's presence bothers, distracts, etc. a player, for any reason (comments, fidgeting, residual animosity, odor, too bright a shirt, anything), then the player should have the right to ask that someone to leave -- and I'd like to think the someone would have the courtesy to leave. That is the behavior I've always observed and that I've always seen observed. In the extreme, should a player decide he/she didn't want anyone watching one of their matches then I think a Director should defuse the situation.
