In Response To: My Thoughts on this Rule (Stick)

Stick: I don't doubt that if I thought long enough or hard enough I too could come up with an example where wearing your seatbelt could cause an accident. I'm not going to bother. We know there are also examples where wearing a seatbelt would have killed the person and not wearing one saved a life.

Ray: These would be the exceptions to the rule, and there are always those. Even Paul Weaver came up with a few reasons not to make the 5 point with an opening 31.

What you don't hear are the stories from the people who got killed because they didn't wear their seatbelt. I remember one on the Grapevine where the guy got cut in half by the barbed wire that was unable to arrest his forward progress when the seatbelt could have...

... or the guy who flew out of the car as it rolled... landing on the side of the hill above the wreck site and died there that night after rescuers left the scene...

Dead men tell no tales.

The exceptions would amount to a magazine compared all the updates of all of the editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica stacked end to end.

From the bar, make your opponent's 5 point with a roll of 54, it's good insurance. If you do that without considering any alternative, you'll do ok.

When you get in your car, put on your seatbelt for the same reason. The people in the car recieve abraisions, those outside of it compound fractures.

(I am told those hurt, btw)
