Hedging

I hope most of the remarks you're hearing are made in passing in a sympathetic and not malicious sort of way. It's your money, hedge or no hedge, it's whatever you decide to do and everyone else can get stuffed.

I didn't hedge in the Championship flight until I reached the Conso finals with Ray. He asked if I wanted to hedge anything and we agreed to hedge most of the difference between 1st & 2nd and play for a small amount. Then, in the SJ, I hedged late in the semis with Richard and also hedged before the match with Hugh when he gave me slightly favorable odds assuming I was the better player.

So if I don't hedge at all this tourney I win ~4k+ from winning the consolation finals and ~9k+ from 2nd in the SJ for ~13.5k. However, hedging I ended up making ~3k++ from the consolation and ~12k from the SJ for ~15k. It can go your way or not, I don't think there's any magical formula, though I may start asking for odds from even *solid* players or not hedge at all. Depends on how I play over these next couple of tourneys.
