Yes! Exactly.

I once asked Paul Franks for 6-5 odds in Cancun money round. He indignantly refused... He asked another couple of times for even hedges along our way to what resulted in a 3 point match, then he asked again. I said no each time.

He won the next game to take the lead 1-0/3. He asked for an even hedge and I agreed... Now getting 3-2 odds.

You are not a pro if you don't realize these possibilities exist. I am a pro. Don't ask me to hedge even unless you are my equal. You won't get what you want and eventually you will fold under the pressure, like Paul Franks.

It is not my pride that causes difficulties, it is YOURS.

I won't like losing to you after I refuse to hedge, but I am prepared to do so. In the long run I will win. What wolf has not experienced occaisional indigestion in the land of the sheep?

I won't lose any sleep if I get nothing, for I know I have done the correct thing. You will NOT sleep when you realize your pride and inability to pay an extra $100 or something when you WIN, is the reason you got NOTHING.

Q: What were you thinking, anyway?

Are you prepared to answer that question while I am buying late night drinks with the money I would have hedged with you if you had been more reasonable?
