I think it warrants mention that the average error rate will tend to be higher than perception. Everyone considers the set of matches they have played against open level players and the quality of the play of that set of opponents. However since the weaker players tend to not survive in the tournament as well as the stronger players, the average match opponent is typically stronger than the average entrant in the draw sheet.
