ERs at recent Monte Carlo World Championships

In Response To: ERs at recent Monte Carlo World Championships (Marv Porten)

The average (mean) of those eight numbers is 5.7. If we can assume that the finalists are better than the average championship player an average ER somewhere between 6.0 & 7.0 sounds like a reasonable guess.

I believe that there are players who average below 5.0 and a small number who average below 4.0. But, they are a minority. There's a lot of mistakes being made in our game.
