Actually Chuck, I bet the average ER in Open ABT events is more on the order of a 10.

I play that bad sometimes, in MC, I lost to Luigi Villa, who played over 10 and I played @ 4.4 or 4.8, I forget... He was the one who played 8.3 as the finalist and it was the guy from Holland who played 5.8 in beating him.

It has been widely reported that my ER is 5.1 on average at a couple of sites. It is EXCEPTIONALLY hard to get under 5 or even 6 without constant study with Gnu. Gnu grades harder than Snowie and it is what people now use and get the ESER, Equivalent Snowie Error Rate.

That John O Hagan will bet he can play below 4 anytime, and that Petko plays from 1.5 to 4 always is an amazing feat. Borne out of hard work. Hardest working of all seems to be Stick, most in tune with Gnu, and I have played him 3 times with his ER always right at 2. These are aberrations however!

Also they represent the cream of the crop, sort of. Average joes?? 8 to 10 I bet.
