MCG: I much prefer it if TD's would rule in favor of recording. I think an insistence upon receiving a copy of the match is totally reasonable

RAY F: Julius has recorded a ton of matches, and dutifully takes down the email addresses of people who want them. Some of those people have come up to him, complaining of not having received their promised matches. Julius says he has not gotten to all of them yet... He records 2 point mini-matches and everything. He has good intentions but he does NOT enter every match he records.

Some people have recorded my matches and never sent them, even after being publicly chastised here. Hi, Rod!

I have paid people, in good faith, when they have recorded my matches up front. It is NOT a good idea to pay ANY contractor in full. Kamyar H. bought Heinekens and cigarettes with the $60 I gave him to record a couple of my final matches in LA when I won two events. 3 weeks later when I got nothing from him I jerked his chain. He didn't like that much, and I never ended up getting the matches... But I did get my money back after Patrick Gibson got involved in the deal 90 days later. Kamyar only paid me back because he might not be allowed to attend Jon Vietor's event if he didn't.

I would have dearly liked to have gotten those final matches. I probably won't ever win two events at such a big event ever again. I acted in good faith by paying in advance. There are lots of matches out there that people recorded and didn't send me. Malcolm, I should note, has always sent me matches he recorded promptly. How he has the energy to enter all of them and do all that work, I will never know!
