If you turn on the move counter and then record that at the end of the match, it has value for future analysis. There are two ways it will record number of moves -- one increments only after both players move, the other after each player moves. I don't remember the details of how to set each but can figure it out if you like. For practical purposes if the first method is used you can just multiply by 2 (error is biased but can be corrected for).
I have that on, and I only have one concern about it. At the end of a game, I have to do a little jiggle to reset the 12 second buffer, so it adds a bit to the count. But I'll record that data too.
