25/18 earns you an Oscar Meyer Wiener Whistle. What does that gain?

8/2*, even though you're starting a less than favored point. Blue's blot in the outfield argues even more strongly for this as it will be difficult to safety. Yes, you're outboarded, but this is a tempo play.

I suppose either play leads to a take but it sure looks like you have a better fight if you hit. (Hell, maybe it's not even a cube after the hit, but that's Blue's problem, increasing the value of hitting.)
