I have always thought it would be a good idea to have a big online tournament once every two year or so, and have all the matches analyzed and published as this would be very convenient in a online format. This would give a more realistic picture of the level of play even if many individual players would deviate from their true average.

The problem would be cheating, so the stakes would have to be moderate and be more a prestige than monetary tournament.(if some idiots still choose to cheat it wouldnt have a very big impact, and i seriously think most top players wouldnt sink that low)

Of course everyone should be able to enter as there are some(many?) good players who are below the radar.
