All this discussion gets me on favorite comparison when non-BG friends ask about luck vs skill in the game.

1) BG has no Tiger......

2) Neil is our Phil Mickelson.....(ABT tour record history) and there are 5-10 others that are in same class.

3) Then we have a bunch of others that are consistently mentioned in top 50 world rankings that are betting favorites for all the major tournaments, get commercial endorsements, etc.

4) After that there is 500-1000 players that are essentially equal....PGA and European tour regulars, top club pros, top amateurs..... Some of these guys occasionally go on a great run......or are great players that have injury laden careers i.e. Rocco Mediate.

On any given day or tournament the #4 guys can beat Phil or even Tiger.

The only difference between BG and golf is that in BG a 30 handicapper can beat Neil 10-20% of the time because of the dice. In golf, they would have no chance over 18 holes against Phil without the handicap.
