Biggest/most prestigious events on the ABT

I'm just trying to get a feel for what tournaments one could consider including in an eventual world tour.
I figure 8 worldwide tournaments, having 4 in Europe, 3 in the States and maybe 1 in Japan would be a good number of events on a tour. Enough to get a feel for who are the best players but not so many that only a few would play them all. Why more tournaments in Europe? - Because attendance seems to be higher in Europe and I believe there is more added prize money in Europe.
Ideally, all the top players should attend all or at least most of the events to get the most fair indication of who tends to get results and who doesn't.
I'm guessing it would not be impossible to get the DBGF (Danish BG Federation) to be in charge of a world tour and run an international rating list, based on the Danish ELO rating and starting from scratch. Only matches played in the events on the tour should count towards the rating list IMO.
In order for DBGF to be in charge of this international tour, it would cost some money. Since I haven't checked with anybody, so far this is merely speculation on my part but knowing the persons running the DBGF I'd say it's not completely impossible to see some kind of arrangement take place.
Why have the DBGF run a world tour? - Because DBGF has great experience running tournaments, running rating lists, etc. No need to start from scratch when all the knowledge needed is already available.
