Is 2 minutes enough clock reserve time?

I would be in favor of a data gathering project in which people play clocked on a much looser time control and report their results along with the amount of time left on the clock. Only in this manner can we know whether any tighter time control is a reasonable truncation of the time-unconstrained distribution curve.

I like it. I wonder if "much looser time control" will make this experiment unpopular in the sense that no one wants to fulfill the requirement on their watch. Number of games and total number of moves (both easily measured) would also be a valuable part of the experimental data.

Doubles in Novi is going to be interesting, with the entire field clocked (3/18). I hope we get 32 teams. You can never have too much data. :)
