In Response To: Participation in ABT events..Apr-June 08 vs this year. (neilkaz)

Just one correction I think in spite of the bailout chatter local turnout was good maybe even great for the US Open.....

7 in Open: Ed O, KG, Joe Freedman, Mel Leifer, Alfred Mamlet, John Klien (unretired for the event) and myself.

6 (at least) Intermediate.

2 (at least) Beginnners.

Our weekly tournament gets between 12-16 players in a typical week. There are maybe 25-30 players in the mix to even come pay $15-20 for a local event.

The ones that normally play ABT events were missing either had work conflicts or really are not local in the sense that they had over an hour's drive with no traffic and in our area could easily be 90 minutes each way four days in row (Koca and Barry Silliman).
