It will be interesting next year if Chiva holds the US Open again, and it is on the West Coast as he anticipates, if the DC area folks attend.

Let's say he does away with the room discount and everything is similar to the other ABT tourneys. Will some of those DC area people attend even though they're looking at $1,000 in expenses that the locals won't have to pay? They apparently seem to think that only an equitable entry fee and registration fee are important.

Will East Coast players next year follow the lead of West Coasters Fogerlund, Glass, Sax, and Russell this year? I hope so.
