Yes, it was a rant. And it did sound bitter. And really I think Ray is a good and pleasant guy when he wants to be and I have enjoyed my matches against him even though I lost both of them. I respect his accomplishments in the game, his contributions to the game, e.g. free auctioneer services, etc., the sportsmanship he showed in his finals against Larry Taylor by allowing Larry to correct illegal moves.

But Ray can also be cantankerous when he wants to be and while he is entitled to his opinions, he should not be immune to some push back.

A couple weeks ago one of my local players was in my view harshly rebuked here on the forum and I did not stick up for him although I wish I had. You might remember that: http://www.bgonline.org/forums/webbbs_config.pl?noframes;read=40400

So maybe I overreacted a little this time. Maybe I didn't.

But you see, whenever I feel that my backgammon hero UBK gets unjustly criticized, I just go berserk!
