Richard Munitz's response is exactly correct. The vote was overwhelmingly in favor of a single final's match with NO SPOT. Typically the Second Chance winner has a record of 8-1 going into the finals; with the undefeated player at 6-0. Occasionally, those records might be 5-0 or 7-1 due to either one receiving a bye in the first round of the Main Draw.

For this LOS ANGELES OPEN: Ray was 6-0 and Stick was 7-1 (having received a round-1 bye).

The overwhelming vote was about 80% of the AUCTION audience of an estimated 70 players. And it was a mix of OPEN and ADVANCED players, as we did not have any LIMITED players at that December 2008 ABT tournament.
