LA ABT Cliffnotes

I thoroughly enjoyed getting back into the ABT scene, even if it wasn't to play. I learned quite a bit about running a big tournament from Pat, they don't call him MFIC for nothing. Driving over from Phoenix wasn't bad, except for the fact that I blew out the clutch near Indio, leading to an expensive tow to a mechanic, and a day longer stay, + cab fares back and forth to Palm Springs airport so I could rent a car. I knew they weren't gonna work on the car until Monday, so there was no point in finding a cheap hotel in Indio and watching tv all weekend waiting for the repair. Finally arrived back in Phoenix just before midnite tonite, the car was "ready" just before 6pm, and I drive like a little old lady sometimes when I get tired. Of course the repair isn't done right, I think it's the clutch master cylinder, cuz I still have to pump up the pedal to get the clutch to work especially if its been hot. The driving was very nice if you forget the car problems, hitting the freeway on a nice sunny day with the top down and the stereo blasting is a blast. Great to see everybody again, even if I suggested plays that showed me to be the donkey I am when Stick was quizzing a bunch of us including Jake Jacobs replies to opening rolls. HeeHaw, HeeHaw, thats me! Thanks for the lesson Stick, I'd have never even considered some of those plays in a hundred years.
