Both Rod and Ray, lost their first round SUPER32 matches, played at 2pm.

They both wanted to re-enter "if a spot should become available". I checked and found a player who was unable to make it on time. Rod and Ray decided to play a 7-point qualifier to determine which one of them would get to re-enter.

Rod won and got the re-entry position.

I erred in this situation, as Joe Russell had informed me prior to his shifting from a pre-registered 7pm start to a no-show, who called and told me so, that if he were to lose he would expect to reclaim his 7pm spot. I told him at that time that he could NOT hold two spots and it would not be so. BUT he did say that if one opened to put him into the mix. I FORGOT about his request, since it had occurred Thursday night before Friday's first day of the LAOpen.

He reminded me after the fact when Rod was already playing in the 7pm draw. I apologized and said that I had forgotten. He had not brought it up after his 2pm loss, that he wanted to re-enter if it should be available --just slipped my "fallible" mind.
