Ray, I think you were responding to my other post ("Golden Rules") and not the question I asked Rich about different ways of treating Open and Int. players, etc.

As is often the case I made a general post but had to put it somehwhere and felt it was best placed right under your initial post, not deeper in the thread. I don't off-hand know if any of my examples were things you suggested -- I'm pretty sure not. You certainly weren't the target of my rant.

I definitely encourage your (and everyone else's) effort to get a US ratings+ system in place. I know you value Matt's knowledge and will join me in picking his brain in Novi. I also am confident that there will be naysayers no matter what system is developed (or even if no system is developed). But I think there is a way to co-exist with the current systems AND keep the directors happy AND protect those who don't want their poor records posted for all the world to see.

Rather than "throwing the baby out with the bathwater" which I think some on this forum are advocating, there is a way to make this work. I applaud the open discussion.
