You didn't roll out mikeg's play [23*, 8/4*, 7/5] which has some things in common with your OtB choice. With two checkers on the bar it is often (usually) correct to open up a bunch of blots for the purpose of builders.

It seems that the 7-point is valuable enough here that this general ploy is counterproductive (i.e. moving 7/5). Note White's blot on your acepoint which will get covered nearly a third of the time this turn. It may also be overkill, depending upon upcoming cube usage. (Doubling at this score is not $-like, though.)
