In Response To: Schedule C.... Incorrect Information re Expenses for Most People (Rod)

You seem to know more than the "average Rod" on the subject of taxes, so maybe you know whether or not bartering is taxable. (I'll trade you my five pigs for your four steers, or whatever.) If the answer is 'no' then there might be some tricks you can do at BG tournaments.

I remember an old trick (which either was never legal in the first place or got a law written to disallow it) of paying someone in silver US coins and reporting the transaction as the face value of those coins. (FWIW, right now $1 face in US silver is worth about $10.)
