I don't see the need to get cute here. Bring them in to safe position and bear them off. In that vein I play 7/3, 6/5.

Now I think you need to stall breaking the 7-point. I suspect (i.e. vaguely remember?) BR says 6/3. 7/4 is also a candidate. I'll go with the tweener play as I like the flexibility: 7/4.

The ugly play [8/2, 5/2, 7/4] holds the prime in this not-yet-gin race. Huge gain on opp's 6-6 compared to the prettier looking 9/6(2), 8/5, 7/4. You break next time but you still will have an OK builder distribution if opp runs one. I'll settle on the ugly duckling: 8/2, 5/2, 7/4.
