1) You, reader, are the Tournament Director. What is your ruling please?

I can't believe this person was invited to my tournament. Are the rules clear on what should be done according to Hoyle? Yes. As the TD, is this going to get in the way of my decision? No. I'd likely take the route I heard of in the past telling the player in question who is asking for the ruling that if they are sure they want me to make a ruling I will make it and they will never be invited to another of my tournaments again. If they still want a ruling, I rule against them.

2) You, reader, are now Black. Having heard the T.D’s ruling, what and why do you do please?

Impossible.

3) You, reader, are now White. Having heard the T.D’s ruling and Black’s (if granted) decision, what are your thoughts please?

I'm not sure what to think. I have a guy sitting across from me bleeding all over the table from the knife I torc'ed into his chest plate. Hopefully we were playing on a house board and I didn't have to ruin my own in the process.

Another scenario I'd try is that if I was the player (White) who had rolled prematurely (would never happen) and the TD ruled against me (soon to be dead #2) I would accept the ruling. I would then roll again, if I don't toss an ace I'd stand up, shake the guys hand, and say "nice match". I would never leave the table, make a move, or pick up my dice. Once the area had cleared (he had left), if possible, I'd pick up my dice - note the player had left a match in progress, go tell the tournament director I had no opponent and he should be forced to forfeit.

As already noted I'm sure in someone else's reply, we should be playing with clocks. The integrity of the game can outweigh a black and white rule. Common sense = king, death to all traitors.
