3/0, 2/0. Take the extra checker off instead of hitting. If you get hit you're glad to have more off. If you get missed, opp hangs around at his own (gammon/bg) peril, uglying up his homeboard in the process.

I still like the extra checker off even though the Coup Classique is a possibility after White's miss. Opp's resigned to a gammon loss without hitting but there are still BG decisions to make.
There is another issue (I believe) which is a bit more subtle, having to do with opp's attempts at snaring a second checker. If you leave a blot on a high point and opp hits, he's out of your hair (for now and maybe forever). If you leave a blot and the acepoint and he hits, now he can hang around waiting for your (hoped from, from his PoV) forced 2/1* later.
