Having read that March thread that someone posted a link to, in which you imagined the situation and planned to call the TD if it occurred, it's surprising that you didn't get to do what you had mentally rehearsed then. There must be a reason why this happened and I think that it would better to find this reason that to beat yourself up about it.

That you waited so long is likely to have many factors including, perhaps, pride in being a patient kind of guy or a wish that Greg's onslaught would dry up of it's own accord or even some idea from childhood that telling on someone is a no-no.

But I'm wondering how much the return from Germany played a part and how reduced your assertive energies were from all the travelling. That's my intuition here. If you were already tired physically and, especially, emotionally then increased passivity is an unfortunate but natural outcome. Tiredness would also make it that bit harder to connect with the consideration that you gave just this sort of situation back in March and thus you wouldn't have had the stimulus and energy from that avowed solution.
